Good Enough for 25 Years

The classic film The Goonies hit theaters 25 years ago this week.  It also spawned the hit song “The Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough,” which hit the top 10 for Cyndi Lauper that same summer.  The extended video for the song appears above.  In addition to the cast of the film, note all of the appearances by 1980s World Wrestling Federation greats like “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, “Classy” Freddy Blassie, The Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkov, The Fabulous Moolah, Andre the Giant, and, of course, Cyndi’s pal “Captain” Lou Albano, who also played her father in the video for “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.”
