Happy Birthday, Cyndi Lauper!
Happy birthday to Cyndi Lauper, who turns 60 today.
Lauper, of course, entered the pop music scene in early 1984 with “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” which rose to number 2 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. She would go on to hit the Top 10 with seven of her first eight Hot 100 singles over a three-year span and then later add an eighth top 10 single with “I Drove All Night” in 1989. Two of those singles — “Time After Time” and “True Colors” — hit number one.
In honor of the milestone birthday, Tunesmate asks, “What’s your favorite Cyndi Lauper song?” Though I like a lot of them, I would pick “Time After Time,” which is featured above.
