Hooked On Classics: Jody Watley

When artists say, here’s one off my new album at a concert, people get up to go grab a beer or hit the restroom. Most stations do not play new music from veteran musicians, they prefer to spin the oldies. However, the new music these classic artists are releasing is worth a listen but they just aren’t getting the exposure. In this new segment “Hooked on Classics”, we will be featuring music from veteran artists.

In this round, we found that Jody Watley released a great new song called “The Mood”. I think some R&B stations picked it up, but it just never got played on radio.
