It Happened 50 Years Ago: Four Jacks and a Jill “Master Jack”
South African band Four Jacks and a Jill made two appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, with a couple of songs in 1968. The first of those two songs produced the group’s only Top 40 hit, and exactly 50 years ago, that song — “Master Jack” — climbed to a peak position of number 18.
