Illinois-based group The Dells made twenty-four appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. Eight of those songs reached the Top 40 and two hit the Top 10. Exactly 50 years ago, the group’s first Top 10 hit, “Stay in My Corner,” was in its third week of a three-week run at a peak position of number 10.
