South Carolina-born singer The Fantastic Johnny C made four appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, all between the fall of 1967 and the fall of 1968. His biggest hit of the quartet was his only Top 10 hit, “Boogaloo Down Broadway,” which exactly 50 years ago climbed to a peak position of number 7.
