London-based band The Kinks hit the Top 10 with their first three singles to reach Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. The run began with “You Really Got Me,” which peaked at number 7 in late 1964. Then, in February 1965, the band’s second Top 10 hit, “All Day And All Of The Night,” also reached a peak position of number 7, where, exactly 50 years ago, it was in the second week of a three-week run.
