Birmingham, England-based band The Spencer Davis Group made five appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, with two of those songs reaching the Top 10. The band’s biggest hit was their first Top 10 hit, “Gimme Some Lovin’,” which exactly 50 years ago climbed to a peak position of number 7.
