It Happened 50 Years Ago: The Troggs “Wild Thing”
Andover, England-based band The Troggs hit the Top 40 with three of the four songs they placed on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. Their biggest hit was their first charting single, “Wild Thing,” which exactly 50 years ago climbed to number one for a two-week reign.
