San Diego-based group Gary Puckett and the Union Gap hit the Top 40 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart six times, with five of those songs reaching the Top 10. Their band’s run started with their first charting song, “Woman, Woman,” which exactly 50 years ago climbed to a peak position of number 4.
