It Happened 50 Years Ago: The Vogues “Five O’Clock World”
Pennsylvania-based vocal group The Vogues’ two biggest hits came with their first two singles to reach Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, both of which reached a peak position of number 4. First came “You’re The One” in 1965. Then, exactly 50 years ago, in the opening weeks of 1966, “Five O’Clock World” climbed to that peak position, where it would spend two weeks.
