It’s Already Been Five Years: Pharrell Williams “Happy”

To date, Pharrell Williams has topped Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart four times. For three of those songs — Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” Ludacris’ “Money Maker,” and Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” — Williams was a featured artist. His one solo chart-topper came with “Happy” from the film Despicable Me 2. Exactly five years ago, “Happy” climbed to the pinnacle position to begin a ten-week run at the top.
