Leif Garrett at 50

If you were a teenager in the United States in the late 1970s, you almost certainly remember teen heartthrob Leif Garrett.  Now from far a teenager, Garrett turns 50 today.

Garrett gained notoreity as an actor who appeared in a ton of films throughout the 1970s after starting his career with a role in 1969’s Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice.  Garrett also had a short pop music career between 1977 and 1981, during which he hit the top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart once–with “I Was Made For Dancin’,” which reached number 10 in 1979 and is featured above.
