Long Live The Queen
Happy birthday to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, who turns 70 today. Over her illustrious career, Franklin has scored 17 top ten hits on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, including two number one singles, twenty years apart. Back in 1967, Franklin hit number one with what is probably her most famous song, “Respect.” Then, in 1987, teaming up with George Michael, Franklin hit the top again with “I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me).”
Franklin celebrated her 70th birthday by announcing that she’s teaming up once again with hugely successful producer Clive Davis to put together a new album.
