Michael Bolton Hits 60
Happy 60th birthday today to Michael Bolton. While being the butt of light-rock music jokes for the last 25 years, Bolton has scored 16 Top 40 hits on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, including seven singles that have hit the Top 10. Two of his songs — both remakes — hit number one: “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” and “When a Man Loves a Woman.” Don’t let the remakes fool you, though. In addition to his own string of hits, Bolton has written numerous hits for both himself and other artists over the past three decades, including the original hit recording of “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” by Laura Branigan.
Perhaps you know Bolton more recently for working with The Lonely Island on the song “Jack Sparrow,” which is featured above.
In honor of Bolton’s 60th birthday, Tunesmate is looking for sentunes featuring his songs.  Check out this link for a discography for some ideas on song titles, and here is a sentune to get us started: Time, love, and tenderness lean on me completely to love somebody when I’m back on my feet again.
