Michael Nesmith 1942-2021

News is circulating that Michael Nesmith of The Monkees has passed away at the age of 78. In memory of Nesmith, let us know your favorite song of his, whether from his time with The Monkees or from another of his projects. As I mentioned when Peter Tork passed away in 2019, I have lots of general memories of watching The Monkees‘ television show growing up in the 1970s and 1980s, but I don’t have a specific memory that strikes me. Perhaps most notable is that I still find myself singing the show’s theme song on a routine basis.
