Monthly Mixtape: September
Wider than a Mile
Imagine human history without the moon – no oceanic tides, no eclipses, no mythos. To say that our species admires our celestial satellite is an understatement, we are inexorably tied to each other. Songs about the moon and her effect on us date back to ancient times, and span across just about every civilization. This month’s mixtape contains songs about the moons from all genres: heavy metal to jazz, traditional Japanese folk songs to doo-wop. The muse of inspiration covers all like a ray of moonlight.
