Rock Of Life
Rick Springfield had his biggest success on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart in the early 1980s, when he hit number 1 in 1981 with “Jessie’s Girl” and number 2 in 1982 with “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” along with three additional Top 10 hits between 1981 and 1984. His last appearance in the Top 40, though, came in the late 1980s, as exactly 25 years ago, “Rock of Life” hit its peak position of number 22.
Springfield is currently on his “Tour for the End of the World” tour in support of his similarly titled CD, Songs for the End of the World, which he released last fall. For more on Springfield, check out his official website.
