Saturday Morning Cartoons: Crusader Rabbit

Crusader Rabbit was the first animated program explicitly created for television. It originally ran in syndication from 1950-1952 and 1956-1959. Its theme song, which was arranged by Clarence Wheeler, reflects the racist stereotypes prevalent in mid-twentieth century U.S. popular culture, as it is a variation on the “Ten Little Indians” counting rhyme.
