Somebody’s Watching Me
Exactly 30 years ago, Motown artist Rockwell hit number 2 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart with his debut single, “Somebody’s Watching Me.” The song, which featured backing vocals by Michael Jackson, would peak at number 2 for three weeks.
Rockwell, whose birth name is Kennedy Gordy and who is the son of Motown Records founder Berry Gordy, would also hit the Top 40 with his next single, “Obscene Phone Caller,” which peaked at number 35, though that was his last appearance on the Hot 100.
