This month, Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue takes on Christmas.

Something Old is a classic, the greatest selling Christmas song of all time, Bing Crosby‘s version of “White Christmas.” For Something New, Cher released a Christmas album in October, and its first single is “DJ Play a Christmas Song.” Something Borrowed offers a couple levels of borrowing. For his version of “The Little Drummer Boy” for his 2012 Christmas album, Richard Marx both remade a traditional Christmas song and explicitly sought to emulate U2’s musical style. Finally, something blue should be no suprise. It’s Elvis Presley‘s version of “Blue Christmas.”
