Thompson Twins
British band Thompson Twins hit the Top 40 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart seven times between 1983 and 1989, starting with “Lies,” which peaked at number 30, and ending with “Sugar Daddy,” which rose to number 28. Three of their singles during that period hit the Top 10, and the biggest hit among them, “Hold Me Now,” peaked at number 3 for two weeks exactly 30 years ago.
