Title Title on the Tenth: “Head Over Heels”
In this past month’s Title Title on the Tenth, Danzig beat out John Lennon as the best song named “Mother.” This month, the Title Title turns to a song title that is timely on a couple of fronts while asking about the three songs titled “Head Over Heels” that have reached Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart.
A few weeks ago, Tunesmate noted that May 19 marked the anniversary of “Head Over Heels” by The Go-Go’s peaking at number 11 in 1984. Meanwhile, as Tunesmate noted a couple days ago, exactly 30 years ago, in 1985, Tears For Fears stood at number 1 with “Everybody Wants To Rule The World,” which came from their Songs From The Big Chair album. Two singles from that album later, Tears For Fears peaked at number 3 with their song titled “Head Over Heels.” Finally, in March and April 1997, Allure featuring Nas peaked at number 35 with their song titled “Head Over Heels.”
So, the question for this month is which “Head Over Heels” is the best. You can check out all three songs and vote below.
