Title Title on the Tenth: Time After Time
Last month’s Title Title race is over, and perhaps appropriately enough given their name, the Cars drove their way to victory in the “Drive” Title Title, beating out Incubus and R.E.M.
This month’s Title Title picks up from yesterday’s post that noted that Cyndi Lauper‘s “Time After Time” was peaking at number 1 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart exactly 30 years ago. Lauper’s single was neither the first nor the last song titled “Time After Time” to hit the Top 40. In 1966 Chris Montez peaked at number 36 with his song titled “Time After Time.” Additionally, in 1990, Timmy T hit exactly number 40 with his song titled “Time After Time.”
If you remember, Timmy T lost the “One More Try” Title Title to George Michael in April. Can Timmy win this one, or does Chris Montez or Cyndi Lauper have the better song titled “Time After Time”? Check out all three songs and vote below.
