You Don’t Know

British duo Scarlett & Black hit Billboard’s Hot 100 chart just once, and exactly 25 years ago, that song, “You Don’t Know,” peaked at number 20.   The act featured Robin Hild and Sue West, who had been backing vocalists for the band Doctor & the Medics, and they only released one album — their self-titled offering that featured “You Don’t Know” as well as the single “Let Yourself Go Go,” which did not chart, but was made into a video.

The video for “You Don’t Know” featured above received significant play on MTV and VH1 as the song made its way up and down the Hot 100, though an alternate, less well-known video for the song was also created.
